In reimagining the public spaces at Marina Grand Resort, our focus was on transforming the lobby lounge and signature restaurant into welcoming spaces filled with warmth. Our design goes beyond traditional architectural lighting, adopting a more residential approach by utilizing decorative table lamps and pendant lights to create layered lighting that subtly enhances the relaxed lakeside ambiance and enriches the overall guest experience.
Upon arrival, guests enter a multifunctional lobby that serves as a cafe by day and a vibrant social scene by night. This space, designed to evoke the old-world charm of a curated library, features dark wood paneling and floor-to-ceiling shelving displaying local art and photography books. Strategic lighting, including adjustable downlights and integrated linear LEDs in the millwork shelving, casts a gentle glow on the finishes and decorative objects, inviting guests to explore and engage.
Beside is the contemplative lounge, an area bathed in natural light centered around a welcoming hearth. Here, an interplay of adjustable downlights and chandeliers craft a lighting scene that invites guests to unwind and engage in lively conversations.
The design narrative extends into the Bentwood Tavern, the resort’s signature restaurant that comes alive each evening. Our lighting design is tailored to enhance intimate moments, with carefully positioned downlights softly spotlighting tables along curved banquettes. At the bar, integrated table lamps and millwork shelf lighting cast a rich glow.
